Underwater Magic World of California

Living in Los Angeles , I always want to see the local underwater world. Going on a boat diving trip to Santa Catalina Island, a Rocky Island about 22 miles off Los Angeles Coast, the spectacular underwater scene shocked me. The underwater world in temperate waters, like those around California, are usually not as colorful as tropical oceans because there are no coral reefs in temperate waters that look majestic and bring millions of marine life. However, the underwater world in Catalina Island is colorful and diverse Due to the crystal clear water with 100 ft+ visibility, I got a picture showing the stunning ocean life around Catalina Island with different kinds of algaes and garibaldi (skinny orange California state fish as shown, more info can be found through my more recent post) swimming around. The beauty of this picture is definitely comparable to a tropical coral reef world!
