This summer, I dove in one of world's best dive destinations - Sipadan Island. In one dive site called Barracuda Point, I enjoyed seeing groups of humphead parrotfish, jackfish tornados, barracuda tornados, endless sea turtles, and several blacktip reef sharks. Barracuda point is literally most divers' dream site.
The ugly humphead parrotfish grabbed my most attention. The green humphead parrotfish is the largest species of parrotfish, growing up to 1.3 m. The blunt pink heads and gaping, prominent teeth are what make these fish ugly and distinctive.
These fish usually travel in groups in shallow coral reefs.
They usually prey on corals, and poop white sand out. So when you are taking a tropical vocation and laying on white sandy beach, you are in a great possibility of laying on humphead parrotfish poops.
