Right after entering the water in my first dive in Sipadan, I saw several huge schools of jacks surrounding me. In the jack storms, different kinds of jacks, sharks and sea turtles made their appearance. The picture shows a giant trevally swimming in a school of bigeye trevallies . Growing up to an adult male in length, Giant trevally is a very aggressive jack that can prey on organisms from small shrimps to baby dolphins. Surprisingly, featured in the first episode of BBC Blue Planet II, giant trevallies jumped out of water and catched sooty terns. However, unlike giant trevallies, bigeye trevallies, usually forming schools, are smaller jacks that feed on small invertebrates.
Surrounded by schools fish, I felt I belong to the ocean.
BBC Blue Planet II is the most stunning documentary I've ever saw.
